Zatu Games is a top UK online board game store that offers a huge range of games with global shipping.
Company Profile & Background
Zatu Games (official name Zatu Limited) is a private company registered in England, based in Norwich. It began under the name “Board Game Limited” before changing to Zatu. The company handles retail sales, warehousing, and the operation of physical property.
Their store address is in Bowthorpe, just outside the city centre of Norwich. The company status is active and it has been expanding since incorporation in 2016.
Product Range & Services
Wide Game Selection
At zatu games, you can find many types of tabletop products: board games, trading card games (TCGs), miniatures, collectible sets, and Lego-themed items.
They carry both popular mainstream titles and niche, hard-to-find editions. They often list preorders and exclusive variants too.
Blog, Reviews & Community
They maintain a blog section to review new releases, share game guides, and preview upcoming titles. This helps customers decide what to buy.
They also host community events and share content to build trust and expertise in the hobby world.
Shopping & Delivery
Online Store Operations
Their web store is open all day, 7 days a week. You can browse, order, or preorder anytime.
They run discount campaigns (for example “Buy 3 get 3% off” and “Buy 5 get 5% off”) to encourage bulk purchases.
Physical Shop & Click & Collect
They have a physical shop and gaming centre in Bowthorpe, Norwich.
Customers in Norfolk and nearby areas can choose click & collect at no extra cost. If you order before 5 pm, you may pick up the same day; after that, it’s next open day.
The store also has a games library where visitors can try games before they buy.
International Shipping
Zatu ships worldwide. Thus, customers outside the UK can order from them.
However, those orders may face longer delivery times, customs duties, or import taxes depending on the destination country.
Customer Feedback & Trust
Positive Reviews & Strengths
Many users praise zatu games for good pricing, swift shipment, and helpful customer support.
Repeat buyers say that most of their orders from Zatu arrive in good condition and on time.
The store is often recommended in hobby communities as a reliable source, especially for items that are otherwise hard to find.
Criticism & Risks to Note
Some customers warn about preorder or backorder issues—cases where items stay on “in stock” status even if suppliers haven’t delivered.
A few have experienced communication problems, price correction (being asked to pay more), delays, or canceled orders.
International orders sometimes face extra fees and slow customs processing.
At one point, the company faced criticism over internal work practices, but it responded publicly to deny exploitative claims.
Why Zatu Games Stands Out in 2025
- They are one of the biggest independent game retailers in the UK, giving them more scale to stock many titles.
- The mix of online presence and a physical store lets them connect with local gamers and international customers.
- Their content (blog posts, reviews) helps them show experience and expertise in the board game community.
- Their policies (click & collect, events, wide selection) help build trust and authority among hobbyists.
- Despite some criticisms, many buyers continue returning for reliability, pricing, and selection.
